Understanding Organisational Change (Length: 1 day) This course is designed for team members and others who are likely to be affected by organisational change. It is often run in conjunction with a session designed to reorient the participants to a specific change initiative their organisation is undertaking. The aim of the course is to help individuals and teams understand the change process and how it is likely to affect them. It will start the discussion on upcoming changes so that the participants will a) think about how they can deal with and contribute to the change and b) work out how the team or group will deal with the changes. By spending some time thinking through the changes and discussing the impact, individuals will be better able to subsequently manage their journey through the change. Topics covered include: Understanding the change process: How do people react to change and why: Managing personal change: How to influence the proposed changes: What changes are imminent in the participants' organisation(s) - standing in the future: What impact will it have on each individual: What impact will it have on the team: What needs (e.g. training and development) does each person have in relation to the change. Personal and/or team SWOT analysis.
