Change function Ltd. was formed at the start of 2001 by Dan and Jacquie Heany.

Both had been Senior Change Consultants with a wide range of experience in designing and managing business transformation and major technology implementations in the Financial Services, Public, Supply Chain Distribution, Manufacturing, Car Rental, and other business to business sectors.

Having become disillusioned with the 'standard' approach to consulting (where the majority of skills walk out the door with the consultant at the end of the project and where the aim is often to create a dependence on the consultant in order to generate 'excessive' revenues) Dan and Jacquie resolved to create a new approach to facilitating change.

They passionately believe that the right approach is to ensure that the client organisation acquires the knowledge, understanding and skills it needs, not only to deal with the changes in hand, but also so that future changes can be handled by the existing managers and team members.

Knowledge and skills transfer is therefore built into all the activities undertaken by Change function.
