Powerful Leadership (Length 2 Days)

What does it take to be a powerful leader?  What makes people want to believe in and follow you?  How can you get others to commit to your vision of the future? What stops you and your people from achieving the goals you set?

 

Through exercises and discussion with other similar people, this course takes what you already know about leadership and adds a few more dimensions to enable you to understand what it will take for you to become the kind of leader you want to be.

 

You will leave the course with a clear set of actions you can implement to increase your power as a leader in any situation.

 

 

 

 

Managing Organisational Change Projects (Length: 2 Days)

People are not machines.  While technology projects might be deterministic, change projects involving people are more 'messy'. Participants on this course will learn to apply project management principles to Organisational Change Projects, where milestones are often 'soft' and where planned events have to be adjusted in response to the effectiveness (or otherwise) of previous change activities.  The overlap and interdependencies that exist when organisational change meets process redesign and technology change will also be examined.

 

 

 

 

Team Performance - Providing Feedback and Managing Contention (Length: 1 day)

Two things that can inhibit team performance are team members not saying what they feel and having unresolved differences.  This course examines the reasons why we find it difficult to give and receive feedback and the causes of contention.

 

Participants then learn some simple-to-apply techniques that enable them to provide effective feedback (good as well as bad) and address the issues that cause contention.

 

By having a common approach to resolving difficulties, team members find it much easier to address those issues that can be so disruptive to effective team working.

 

 

 

Team Performance - Coaching and Motivating Others (Length: 1 Day)

Aimed at anyone who works with other people, not just leaders, participants on this course will learn how to motivate and influence others and be able to apply coaching principles to enable others to learn new tasks. This is particularly useful where the participant is responsible for transferring their skills to others.

 

 

 

 

Individual Performance - Making Powerful Presentations (Length: 3 Days)

If we are honest, nearly every business presentation we experience is less effective than it should be.  Some are downright awful.  People dread making presentations to others because they think they will be useless at it and look bad: then they often go on to make their fear come true. Why? Make a good presentation and you impress the socks off others - so what is so hard?

 

Participants will learn the key elements that make presentations powerful and will focus their practice session on those factors.  By the end of the course they will not only know how to make a highly effective presentation but they will be able to overcome any worries of fears they may have about standing up in front of others to present.
